Founding Chair of AES Student Section

Lukas was the founding chair of the Audio Engineering Society Student Section FH St. Pölten.

Exchange semester

From January to June 2021, Lukas will spend a semester abroad at the Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland. While writing his master's thesis, he will attend the module 'Acoustic Modelling and Spatial Audio'.

Lukas received his Bachelor' degree in 'Media Technology' in 2019 and will have completed the Master's program 'Digital Media Production' by 2020.

Redesign acoustic absorbers

Together with eco design student Theresa Kühmayer, Lukas crafted sustainable porous acoustic absorbers made of upcycled textile waste. The project was awarded twice and presented at the Ars Electronica Festival in Linz.

Scientific theses

Lukas is interested in the psychology behind sound. He has written about the perception of sadness in music of different cultures and how this affects AI music recommendation systems. His master thesis will examine the implementation of an object-based workflow for a big production company.
